of Better World Fund
The better world to which we all aspire is now within our reach. Deeply humanitarian, I am convinced that together we can move mountains by providing concrete solutions to tomorrow's challenges.
In 2016, driven by the desire to take part in this movement of awareness, I launched the Better World Fund.
Everywhere in the world, women and men are creating, innovating, and taking action for social inequalities and education. The Better World Fund’s ambition is to highlight and financially support these actions that give hope. The power of cinema and art seemed to me an obvious way to raise awareness and inspire global world citizens to act for the future of our planet."
During VENICE FILM FESTIVAL

A session examining the power of film to reflect, inspire, and mobilize humanity through storytelling, emotion, and shared experiences. Cinema holds the power to spark empathy, challenge perspectives, and promote peaceful coexistence. This Forum brings together voices from diplomacy, culture, and the arts to explore how film can serve as a tool for connection, dialogue, and social impact.
• The Higher Committee of Human Fraternity (HCHF) will open the session with a keynote address grounded in the values of the Abu Dhabi Document on Human Fraternity. Their intervention will explore how storytelling through cinema can support intercultural understanding and universal fraternity.
• A renowned international celebrity will speak on the role of public figures in shaping global awareness. The session will delve into the concept of celebrity diplomacy, reflecting on how visibility can lead to responsibility and action in times of conflict and division.
• Joel Soler, award-winning documentary filmmaker and President of the Magos Foundation, will contribute a cinematic and historical perspective. He will highlight how socially engaged film has helped advance human rights, raise awareness, and shift public consciousness toward compassion and unity.
• This Forum invites participants to reflect on the transformative potential of storytelling, and to consider cinema not only as art, but as a force for coexistence and change.
